We are in the middle of a pandemic and the nail shops of the world are closed. If you are like me, things are getting kinda rough…if you know what I mean. And it’s time to take action. Quick.
Hopefully you have your favorite nail polish and some clippers on hand. But getting that rough skin off our heels is really part of nail shop experience.
I have tried the heel scrapers and pumice stones and they certainly can soften things up on your heel area. But for me, my arms get tired, I am super ticklish, I don’t give it my best effort and then it doesn’t last long.
Surprisingly, a couple of months ago, as I was strolling through my local Lidl, I saw a cute little electric callous remover for $10 and added it to my cart. I chuckled the whole way home, because it was such a random addition to my grocery cart, and I kept asking myself why on Earth I bought it. Would I really use it? Was it absolutely necessary?
But here we are, in the midst of a seemingly never-ending stay-at-home order, almost all businesses are closed, and my feet need some attention bad! So I pulled this little baby out of the cabinet and in a matter of minutes, my heels were smooth as a baby’s cheek.
If you don’t have one, I suggest having one for now, of course, and then once life gets back to normal, for those between-salon moments when you need to tie yourself over.
The good news is there are plenty available online for purchase and they aren’t that expensive. Here are a few I saw while perusing the interwebs today.
