Make the Status Quo Uncomfortable

A message from #44 hit me in my spirit today. If you didn’t have the chance to watch President Obama’s town hall today, I encourage you to find some time to watch it either on obama.org or on YouTube.

As usual, this man has the capacity to calm even in the midst of chaos. He provided reassurance, leadership, encouragement, and action items. I won’t go on about how much I miss him…but…yeah, lol, I do. The moderator and guests had awesome tips for moving forward, which I plan to share as I have some time to absorb, reflect, and research.

But this was one key takeaway for me. Be it in your personal endeavors, in your professional aspirations, in business, or from a social standpoint, the status quo will always be the biggest hinderance to your progress. And right now, people are uncomfortable. Those that don’t want to change are resisting the hardest, but that shouldn’t stop progress from happening.

Give it some thought. Watch the town hall if you can. I came away with a lot to think about. I guarantee you will also.
